Many Zatras are held during this period in Ponda: the Kavlem Zatra at Shantadurga temple, the three days zatra of Shri Mangesh in the lavish temple of that name, and the Manguesh Zatra at Mangueshi Temple.

In the old Fontainhas district of Panjim the Maruti zatra draws huge and colourful crowds at Mahalaxmi Temple. Maruti is another name for Hanuman.
